Who We Are

Hover UAS was founded on Long Island, New York in 2020 to leverage unmanned aerial technology to deliver custom imagery, digital content, and actionable site data for our customers. If your organization is seeking aerial photography and videography, mapping/3D modeling, or inspection services, we will focus our skills on your needs to deliver safe, cost-effective, aerial technology solutions.   

Our remote pilots are Part 107 Certified by the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and have prior backgrounds in real estate, engineering, construction, environmental consulting, and technology services.

We maintain Commercial Liability Insurance with flexibility to adjust coverage as project needs dictate.

John has a diverse background including executive leadership of global technology initiatives, program management and site leadership of 40+ consulting engineering engagements, and strategic leadership of a technology startup providing software development services.  He spent the first 11 years of his career as a Certified Professional Geologist (professionally licensed in 5 states) to successfully lead geotechnical engineering, construction projects, and environmental site investigation/remediation efforts for Fortune 100 clients, State and Federal Regulatory agencies across the US. Over the next 20 years, he transitioned to driving large-scale(>$175M) technology modernization, digital transformation, and organizational change initiatives at the Executive Level in some of the world’s largest industrial and financial service organizations.  

Rapid advances in UAV technologies and his passion for the practical application of new technology to solve complex organizational challenges led John to found Hover UAS. His background in engineering, construction, and environmental work has provided additional insight to the opportunities in these areas for both remote piloted and autonomous UAV (drone) applications.

John has an FAA Part 107 Remote Pilot Certificate, an AVUSI – Level 1 Remote Pilot Certificate, and is a Certified Skydio Professional/3D Scan Operator and a Drone Deploy Certified Pilot/Construction Analyst.
